Overview
In 2014, SMS was selected for the project, the “Network of International Centers of Education in China” (NICE), which was established by the Ministry of Education and the State Administration of Foreign Affairs. SMS was one of the first four schools and/or departments, as well as the only one in mathematics, selected for the project. Under the Initiative, SMS was designated as a Center for International Recruitment and Collaboration in 2022. This aims to build a high-quality platform for recruiting international experts and talents, drive internationalization in teaching, research, and institutional management.

The National Center of Applied of Mathematics, one of thirteen such centers in the country, is created with the approval and support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and placed under the joint administration SJTU and Fudan University.2020

2022SJTU Mathematics and Statistics are both ranked in Class A in the latest national rankings and assessments conducted by the Ministry of Education. The school is granted the title of Center for International Recruitment and Collaboration by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Responsibilities: Research and mentoring students including junior faculty. Employed for less than one month, give colloquium or seminar talks, Class teaching is not required.
